Comment by the Foreign Minister

Recently, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been repeatedly asked questions about public statements made by some high representatives of the Foreign Ministry of the Russian Federation, in which they make routine accusations addressed towards some EU and NATO member states, including Estonia. The Minister of Foreign Affairs comments:

"For some time, the EU and NATO have considered the groundless accusations towards Estonia and some other member states not worthy a concise response. In this situation, the Foreign Ministry of the Russian Federation could consider paying more attention to checking the facts and to ensuring that their rhetorics correspond to the facts. The Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs supports the rational approach of the EU and NATO and will react only to reasonable criticism today and in the future."
