Czech Foreign Minister to Visit Estonia

Czech Foreign Minister Karel Schwarzenberg will be in Estonia for an official visit tomorrow, 17 November. He will meet with Foreign Minister Urmas Paet.

At their meeting, they will discuss current security policy issues—the upcoming NATO and OSCE summits—as well as European Union topics, such as enlargement and economic co-ordination. Russia-European Union relations and the situation in the Western Balkans will also be discussed.

The Czech foreign minister also has meetings scheduled with President Toomas Hendrik Ilves and Prime Minister Andrus Ansip. Karel Schwarzenberg’s visit will begin in Tartu, where he will have a meeting with Mayor of Tartu Urmas Kruuse and visit the Tartu Catholic School.

Foreign Minister Urmas Paet and Czech Foreign Minister Karel Schwarzenberg will give a joint press conference in the Foreign Ministry’s press centre at 13.15 on Wednesday, 17 November.
