Election Day in the Foreign Ministry Press Centre

On 6 March 2011, the day of the election of the XII Riigikogu, the Foreign Ministry press centre (Lauteri 2) will be open from 14.00 until the announcing of the initial election results (approximately midnight). In the press centre it will be possible to get practical information on the elections and election results. A press conference will also be scheduled. The working languages of the press centre are Estonian and English.

The information line for the press centre on 6 March will be +372 637 7630. Information regarding the Riigikogu elections can also be found on the website of the Estonian National Electoral Committee: http://www.vvk.ee/?lang=en.

Journalist accreditation will take place through pre-registration. In order to pre-register, please fill out the form found on the Foreign Ministry’s website by 2 MARCH (http://ankeet.vm.ee/eng/elections).

Press cards will be distributed on 6 March starting at 14.00 at the Foreign Ministry press centre when the journalist presents a photo ID.

Prior to and during the elections there is also a Riigikogu information centre that is located in the same building as the National Electoral Committee at Toompea 1; the information line is +372 631 6300.
