Polish President Bronisław Komorowski to visit Estonia

Polish President Bronisław Komorowski and his wife Anna Komorowska will be in Estonia for a working visit from 28-29 March.

There are meetings scheduled with President of the Republic Toomas Hendrik Ilves and Prime Minister Andrus Ansip.

Topics to be discussed are bilateral and regional relations, energy security, Estonia’s experiences and priorities in the European Union, and Poland’s EU presidency.

During his visit President Komorowski will open a Polish-Estonian business forum, visit the Estonian War Museum in Viimsi, and give a public lecture at Tartu University. At the Estonian War Museum a memorial plaque dedicated to Józef Klemens Piłsudski will be unveiled and in Tartu a wreath will be placed by the commemorative plaque to Stefan Batory.

During the visit, the president’s spouse Anna Komorowska will participate in the presentation of the book “Little Chopin” at the Estonian Children’s Literature Centre and become acquainted with Tallinn’s Old Town.

President of the Republic Toomas Hendrik Ilves and Mrs. Evelin Ilves will hold a dinner in honour of President Komorowski and Mrs. Anna Komorowska and host them at the their home, Ärma farm.

Press cards will be available as of 25 March at 15.00 from the desk at the guest entrance of the Foreign Ministry at Lauteri 2.
