Foreign Minister Urmas Paet to discuss future of Nordic-Baltic relations with colleagues

Today and tomorrow, on 29 and 30 August, Foreign Minister Urmas Paet will take part in the Nordic-Baltic 8 (NB8) foreign ministers' meeting in Helsinki.

The foreign ministers from eight coiuntries will discuss the NB8 cooperation report and the European Union's Eastern Partnership, also touching on important international topics, including the situation in North Africa, the Middle East and the Western Balkans.

On the evening of 30 August, the foreign ministers of Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Iceland, Latvia, Lithuania, Norway and Sweden will meet Ukrainian colleague Konstantin Grištšenko to discuss the latest developments in Ukraine and that country's integration with the European Union.

Paet will also participate in a seminar dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the NB8, titled "Nordic and Baltic states - the next 20 years", in which the future of Nordic-Baltic relations will be examined
