Minister for European Union Affairs and Chief Negotiator of Turkey to Visit Estonia

Minister for European Union Affairs and Chief Negotiator of Turkey Egemen Bagis will be in Estonia for a visit on Friday, 11 November. He will be meeting with Foreign Minister Urmas Paet.

He also has meetings scheduled with Andrus Ansip, chairman of the Riigikogu European Union affairs committee Taavi Rõivas, and representatives of the Estonia-Turkey parliamentary group.

Topics to be discussed at the meetings are Estonia-Turkey bilateral relations and matters tied to European Union enlargement and EU Neighbourhood Policy. They will also address the situations in the Middle East, Northern Africa, and the Western Balkans, as well as the economic situation in Europe.

Minister Bagis will also present a lecture in English at the Estonian Foreign Policy Institute about developments in Turkey and its neighbourhood and relations with the EU.
