Foreign Minister Urmas Paet Expressed Condolences to Russian Colleague

Foreign Minister Urmas Paet expressed condolences to Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov in connection with the victims of flooding in South Russia and those who were killed and injured in the accident involving a bus full of Russian pilgrims.

“I express profound condolences to the families of those lost in the flooding and the bus accident, as well as everyone affected by these events. We are keeping you in our thoughts at this difficult time,” said Foreign Minister Paet.

The flooding that has taken place in Krasnodar krai in South Russia as a result of heavy rainfall has claimed 78 lives in the past two days. Today an accident took place in Ukraine involving a bus full of pilgrims from Velikije Luki; 14 people were killed and 22 injured.
