Foreign Minister Paet on Visit to Mexico

Starting today until 20 October, Foreign Minister Urmas Paet is in Mexico for a visit, during which he has a meeting scheduled with Foreign Minister Patricia Espinosa and other members of the Mexican government.

The foreign minister will also meet with representatives of the Mexican Business Council for Foreign Trade, Investment and Technology (COMCE). Foreign Minister Paet will also sign an agreement between Estonia and Mexico for the avoidance of double taxation and prevention of fiscal evasion.

On 20 October Foreign Minister Urmas Paet will hold a reception in Mexico City in honour of Arvo Pärt. The reception will be preceded by a concert of Pärt’s works at the Palacio de Bellas Artes, where his works will be performed by Harry Traksmann, the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir, and Tallinn Chamber Orchestra with Tõnu Kaljuste conducting (additional information: http://www.epcc.ee/concerts/concert201239/).

A concert of Arvo Pärt’s works will also be held in León (additional information: http://www.epcc.ee/concerts/concert201237/). Works by Pärt will also be performed within the framework of the International Cervantino Festival in Guanajuatos on 19 October (additional information: http://www.epcc.ee/concerts/concert201238/).
