Foreign Minister Urmas Paet Visiting Colombia

Today and tomorrow, 6-7 May, Foreign Minister Urmas Paet will be visiting Colombia together with Finnish Minister for European Affairs and Foreign Trade Alexander Stubb.

Foreign Minister Paet will meet with Foreign Minister of Colombia María Ángela Holguín Cuellar. They will discuss Estonia and Colombia’s relations, including co-operation in the economic and information technology sectors, recent developments in Latin America, and opportunities for co-operation in international organisations.

In order to promote direct communication between the countries, the foreign ministers will sign an agreement for a visa waiver for diplomatic passports between Estonia and Colombia. Estonians can travel to Colombia for tourism without a visa.

At their joint meeting with the Colombian foreign minister, ministers Paet and Stubb will discuss international topics, developments in economic co-operation and trade  between European Union countries and Colombia, and co-operation opportunities in the area of investments.
