Foreign Minister Urmas Paet Will Participate in OSCE Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in Kiev

Today and tomorrow, Foreign Minister Urmas Paet will participate in the meeting of the foreign ministers of Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) member states in Kiev.

In his speech, foreign minister Urmas Paet will talk about human rights, freedom of expression, and security topics, including cyber security and long-term conflicts within the OSCE region.

Paet is also planning to meet with representatives of the Ukrainian pro-Europe movement in Kiev.

Ukraine is the current chairman of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) and the 20. OSCE Ministerial Council meeting is taking place on 5-6 December in Kiev. In 2014-2015 the OSCE chairmen will be Switzerland and Serbia.
