The UN expressed concern for Eston Kohver and called for his release

Concern was expressed at the 27th session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva regarding the arrest of Estonian Internal Security Service officer Eston Kohver and the council called for his release.

Estonia's Permanent Representative to the United Nations headquarters and the international organizations in Geneva, Ambassador Jüri Seilenthal said in his speech that Eston Kohver's arrest is illegal and contrary to international law. “We call for his prompt return to Estonia,” Seilenthal added.
