According to the Foreign Ministry there were no Estonian citizens on board the Germanwings aircraft

According to current information obtained by the Foreign Ministry, there were no Estonian citizens on board the Germanwings aircraft that crashed in the Barcelonnette region of south-eastern France.

Foreign Minister Keit Pentus-Rosimannus offered her deepest condolences to the relatives of the people killed in the airplane tragedy and the foreign ministers of the homelands of the people who were on board the plane. "This is a terrible tragedy for all of Europe. We are thinking of all the families and loved ones of the people who perished during this difficult time," she added.

On March 24, Germanwings'i Flight 4U 9525 crashed near Barcelonnette in the French Alps killing all 150 people who were on board the aircraft.
