Foreign Minister Sven Mikser condemns London terrorist attack


Foreign Minister Sven Mikser condemned the terrorist attack in London in which more than 6 people were killed and more than 50 were injured according to initial information.

“We strongly condemn this brutal act of terrorism. It is incredibly sad and shocking that such attacks take place in our societies,” Mikser said. “The international community must make maximum effort to ensure that such attacks never happen again,” he emphasised.
“My sincere condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims and wounded and to people in the UK. This tragedy affects all of us,” the Foreign Minister added.

According to initial information which has reached the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, there were no Estonian citizens among the casualties of the London attack.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends the Estonian citizens in London to avoid the area and follow the instructions of the local authorities. The Foreign Ministry also asks the Estonians in London to establish contact with their friends and relatives.
