Foreign Minister of Macedonia* to Visit Estonia

Foreign Minister of Macedonia* Nikola Poposki will be in Estonia for a working visit from 8-9 February. He has meetings scheduled with Foreign Minister Urmas Paet, Minister of Defence Mart Laar, chairman of the Riigikogu foreign affairs committee Marko Mihkelson, chairman of the Riigikogu national defence committee Mati Raidma, chairman of the European Union affairs committee Taavi Rõivas, and members of the Estonia-Macedonia parliamentary group.

Topics to be discussed will be Estonia-Macedonia relations, Macedonia’s integration with the EU and NATO, and recent developments in the countries’ shared neighbourhood.

Nikola Poposki will give a lecture in English at the Foreign Ministry entitled “Macedonia on the road to NATO and EU: Knocking on the open doors”.

In addition to his meetings, Foreign Minister Poposki will also host a reception in honour of the opening of the honorary consulate of Macedonia in Tartu. The honorary consul of Macedonia is Peter Roose. For additional information on the opening of the honorary consulate:
