Foreign Minister of Denmark to Visit Estonia

On Tuesday, 28 August, Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of Denmark Villy Søvndal will be in Estonia for a visit.

The Danish foreign minister has a meeting scheduled with Foreign Minister Urmas Paet. At their meeting they will discuss Estonia-Denmark bilateral relations. Other topics will include European Union issues, Nordic-Baltic co-operation, security matters, and current foreign political topics, including the situations in Syria and Afghanistan. The ministers will also address EU Eastern Partnership, touching on the situations in Ukraine and Belarus.

The Danish foreign minister also has meetings scheduled with Riigikogu Speaker Ene Ergma and Prime Minister Andrus Ansip. Søvndal will also visit the Danish Cultural Institute and take a tour of Tallinn’s Old Town.
