Foreign Ministry statement regarding Estonian citizen abducted in Nigeria

Early this morning the sailor of Estonian citizenship and the other members of his crew, who were abducted off the coast of Nigeria in mid-October, were released. 

Foreign Minister Urmas Paet recognised the well-executed co-operation between the shipping company and international and Estonian partners. “Now we must help the Estonian citizen get back to Estonia as soon as possible, with the help of the shipping company,” he stated.
