Foreign Minister Urmas Paet is Discussing the Situation in Syria with the Foreign Ministers of Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Norway, Iceland, Lithuania, and Latvia


Today and tomorrow, September 2nd-3rd, Foreign Minister Urmas Paet will participate in a meeting of the foreign ministers of Nordic and Baltic states in Gotland.

The meeting will involve discussions of current regional and international topics as well as Nordic-Baltic cooperation and future plans.

The foreign ministers will discuss the situations in Syria, Egypt, and the broader Middle East, as well as transatlantic relations. Among regional questions, the Eastern Partnership, relations with Russia, and energy cooperation are all on the agenda.
