Invitation to a presentation of the results of a development cooperation-themed public opinion study

On Tuesday, September 8 at 11:00, the results of a development cooperation-themed public opinion study will be presented at the Foreign Ministry.

The event will be opened by Foreign Minister Marina Kaljurand and the results of the study will be presented by AS Emor project manager Jaanika Hämmal. The presentation will be moderated by the Director General of the External Economic and Development Cooperation Department, Jüri Seilenthal. A question and answer period will follow the presentation.

AS Emor carried out the study, commissioned of the Foreign Ministry, the goal of which was to map the awareness and opinions of the general public and opinion leaders about development cooperation. The survey showed that the Estonian population’s support for development cooperation is high. A total of 80% of the population is willing to assist poorer and less developed countries. What conclusions and plans for the future can be made from this study?
