Turkish Foreign Minister to Visit Estonia

On Friday, 11 May, Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu will be in Estonia for a visit. He has a meeting scheduled with Foreign Minister Urmas Paet.

The minister also has meetings scheduled with President Toomas Hendrik Ilves and Prime Minister Andrus Ansip.

Topics to be discussed at the meetings include Estonia-Turkey bilateral relations and Turkey’s integration with the European Union. Also to be addressed are the situations in the Middle East and Western Balkans, the NATO summit in Chicago, and topics relating to NATO-EU co-operation.

The Turkish foreign minister will participate in the Lennart Meri Conference and give a speech at a dinner hosted by President Toomas Hendrik Ilves. For additional information: http://lmc.icds.ee

On Friday at 16.30 foreign ministers Ahmet Davutoglu and Urmas Paet will participate in the opening event of the Estonia-Turkey Intercultural Trade and Education Association (EESTÜRK). At 19.00 the Turkish foreign minister will also take part in the prize ceremony of the Turkish Language Olympics of Estonia that took place in the framework of the Estonian-Turkish Cultural Festival. In addition, Minister Davutoglu will take a tour of Tallinn’s Old Town.
