Foreign Ministry announcement regarding OSCE Special Monitoring Mission observers

Yesterday evening OSCE Special Monitoring Mission observers were detained near Donetsk, including one Estonian citizen among them.

The OSCE is engaged in resolving the situation. The situation is being monitored by Estonian diplomats to the Representation of the OSCE, at the Embassy in Kyiv and at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which is in constant contact with OSCE representatives.

Foreign Minister Urmas Paet stated that the OSCE observers must be released immediately and their work cannot be impeded.
