Estonia welcomes the Ukrainian parliament's responsible resolutions

Foreign Minister Urmas Paet said it is a welcome change that the Ukrainian parliament Verkhovna Rada is once again able to resume work and has adopted a number of important resolutions, including the act to re-establish the 2004 constitution.

The foreign minister added, that Ukraine needs to move forward in the direction of stabilising the situation and carrying out early free elections. "We support an undivided and democratic Ukraine. With their fortitude, the Ukrainian people are giving their country a new opportunity to build a democratic state that respects human rights. We highly appreciate these efforts and are ready to continue to support activities that develop the rule of law in Ukraine," he added.
